Castelli Estate Long Table Dinner

Join the Char Char Restaurant + Bar team as we welcome Castelli Estate Chief Winemaker, Mike Garland, for a long table dinner in our Harbour Room on Thursday 18th of July.

Chef has created a delicious four course menu, featuring beef from the Western Australian family owned Kerrigan Valley Beef.  The menu is paired with the wines from the Castelli Estate, with  six wines on the list to enjoy plus a pallet cleanser.  Of note we will be enjoying the Il Liris Chardonnay, one of our managers favourite wines.

Castelli Estate Il Liris Chardonnay

“This is a 100 percent Denmark-sourced wine. It’s right at the pinnacle for Castelli. There is a beautiful purity and lifted vitality about it. Yet there is also a deeper lurking complexity of slightly funky characters that make for an intriguing merging of the ways. Savoury with a very dry flinty finish. This is chardonnay at the top end and mighty good stuff.”

“Castelli Estate wines are produced in an idyllic setting on Mount Shadforth in Denmark. The Castelli family’s winemaking philosophy is simple; source the best fruit from the southern regions of Western Australia and handcraft wines of individuality and character. Finding those parcels takes a great deal of work. There is a fair bit of country to cover in search of the best fruit, but when that hard work pays off in the bottle, the memory of the miles travelled quickly fades.”
